The view of a song in SongView may be scrolled or controlled by many different means.
- Keyboard – the spacebar and the multimedia keys may control scrolling
- Serial port – up to four pushbuttons may be connected to control different functions
- Joystick – up to four pushbuttons may control different functions, an analog control may control scrolling
- USB HID – a USB HID foot pedal may control up to three functions
